HOPE Consortium - North Region Rapid Response Team
The team connects those who are pregnant, parenting or caregiving, or of childbearing age who have a history of, or who are at risk for, substance use disorder and their children, families, and caregivers with the resources and services they need in Forest, Iron, Oneida, Price, and Vilas Counties and Forest County Potawatomi, Lac du Flambeau Chippewa, and Sokaogon Chippewa Tribal Communities.

Drug overdose is the leading cause of accidental death in the United States. More than 63,600 Americans died from drug overdoses in 2016. This is more than car accidents and gun homicides combined. In fact overdose is the leading cause of death for Americans under 50.

The U.S. is in the midst of an opioid overdose epidemic with every American state, county, socio-economic and ethnic group impacted. Opioids killed more than 42,000 people in 2016, representing 66% of all overdose deaths.
